Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food service cashier preferred
  • must have math and customer relations skills
  • must be able to work in hot and humid areas
  • ability to perform prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 to 15 pounds with or without assistance
  • ability to pass all required health and other screening tests
  • physical conditions must be clean, neat, and well lit
  • ability to handle exposure to unpleasant sights, odors, stressful situations, hazardous or infectious agents
  • ability to use personal protective equipment as required
  • availability for irregular or extended hours due to emergency circumstances

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets all customers promptly and courteously
  • handles all financial matters in a responsible manner
  • balances the cash drawer on a daily basis and is responsible for maintaining accurate customer transactions
  • assists in setting up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedure
  • cleans the cafeteria dining area and customer service area following infection control and HACCP guidelines
  • informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs
  • maintains adequate food and nonfood supplies during meal service
