Job Requirements
- Able to read and interpret directions on packages and can labels
- Able to do basic arithmetic
- Knowledge of weights and measures
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Formal training through food service courses preferred
- One year of food service work experience preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to read and interpret package directions and can labels
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Knowledge of weights and measures
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble, and portion food items for patient and customer service
- Stock and distribute food supplies as needed
- Maintain sanitation of utensils, dishes, and food service equipment
- Perform manual cleaning duties in food service areas
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines as per regulatory standards
- Assist with basic custodian duties related to the food and nutrition department
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food service operations
