Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- six months to one year experience in the food service industry preferred
- must be able to read write and speak English
- must be able to stand in one place for up to three hours
- must be able to push and pull food delivery trucks
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- must be able to perform similar or related duties as required or directed

Job Duties
- Cleans pots and pans using pot machine as required
- cleans serviceware using dish machine as required
- maintains general work area in clean and orderly manner
- checks equipment to ensure proper temperatures are registering
- records temperatures daily in log
- uses disposable gloves when working and observes sanitation procedures
- cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area for other assignment
- sweeps mops and scrubs kitchen floors
- demonstrates alertness to avoid spread of infection or unsafe conditions
- assembles trays for general and therapeutic diets
- prepares and portions special food items for patient tray service
- reports promptly to stations or trayline
- sets up work station with correct food items
- reports food shortage or malfunctioning equipment
- fills ice in soda machine daily
- fills soda and juice machines daily
- attends in-service meetings as required
- performs other related duties as necessary
