Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- six months to one year experience in the food service industry preferred
- ability to read write and speak English
- ability to stand in one place for up to three hours
- ability to push and pull food delivery trucks
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform similar or related duties as required or directed

Job Duties
- Cleans pots and pans using pot machine as required
- cleans serviceware using dish machine as required
- maintains general work area in clean and orderly manner
- checks equipment to ensure proper temperatures are registering
- records temperatures daily in log
- uses disposable gloves when working and observes sanitation procedures before handling utensils or food items
- cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area for other assignment
- sweeps mops and scrubs kitchen floors
- demonstrates alertness to areas needing attention in avoiding the spread of infection or unsafe conditions such as blocking traffic areas and wet floors
- assembles trays for general and therapeutic diets
- conscientiously prepares and portions special food items necessary for patient tray service
- promptly reports to stations or trayline at specified starting time
- always sets up work station with correct food items
- promptly reports food shortage or malfunctioning equipment on the trayline
- performs other related duties including filling ice in soda machine daily and filling soda and juice machines daily
- attends in-service meetings as required
