Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen
  • One year supervising experience
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license and clean three-year driving history
  • Current CPI certification within 30 days of employment
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in kitchen environment with power equipment and hot conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience working in a commercial bakery or kitchen
  • One year of experience supervising others
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license with a clean three-year driving history
  • Current CPI certification within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, isolation, and abandonment immediately as mandated by state law
  • Provide recommendations and expertise to the direct care team regarding necessary ID or plan-related documentation
  • Support participants' goals and training opportunities outlined in Person-Centered Plans within the Food Service Training Center
  • Collaborate with case managers, program leadership, and HR regarding participants' performance and goal success
  • Maintain open communication with programmatic leadership on rotations and schedules
  • Oversee on-time delivery of all customer orders including production, scheduling, workflow, deliveries or pickups, and packaging
  • Travel to various locations in the Las Vegas area as needed
  • Perform pre-operation checks on bakery machinery
  • Ensure proficiency in all job functions and machinery operation
  • Support inventory supplies and purchase orders with a budget-conscious approach
  • Ensure consistency in operational procedures in the kitchen
  • Provide training and cross-training to team members and program participants
  • Maintain a positive environment with high morale and strong work performance
  • Identify problem areas in advance and take corrective actions
  • Prepare and finalize all necessary shift paperwork
  • Follow all Lock Out and Tag Out procedures for machines
  • Support kitchen safety, food safety, and food defense initiatives
  • Comply with Federal, State, and OSHA laws, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee and maintain production standards during leadership absences
  • Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays for special events or production needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
