- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare and assist inmate labor and team members in food preparation according to menus and work instructions
- Ensure all food is stored properly and in a sanitary manner
- Serve food during planned meal schedules in accordance with policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food following recipes
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers
- Maintain a clean work area including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
- Follow facility uniform policy
- Manage garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean
- Ensure kitchen readiness for food preparation and serving including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Review proper portions and utensils for service
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Stand and be on feet for extended periods
- Perform tasks that require lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, and walking
