Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or supervision preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weights
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
- Knowledgeable in operating a cost-effective program
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production safety and quality per policies
- Ensure safe and organized food storage
- Maintain serving schedules following menu specifications
- Maintain sanitary conditions and adhere to health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders as needed
- Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- Perform preventative maintenance checklists
- Recommend equipment replacements
- Multi-task proficiently
- Perform duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees
- Oversee catering event preparation and delivery
- Work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
- Attend staff food service meetings
- Maintain staff communications
- Perform cashier duties as needed
- Promote positive public relations
