Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • commitment to health and safety standards
  • ability to lead and mentor staff
  • proficiency in basic math
  • willing to complete a sanitation course if not already completed

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored in a safe and organized environment
  • maintain serving schedules ensuring food is served per menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain logs on equipment maintenance
  • ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • maintain knowledge of catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
