Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to manage schedules and coordinate teams
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • willing to work occasional night and weekend events

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules ensuring food items served per menu specifications
  • maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • prepare orders to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, promote employee growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • perform other duties as assigned by director or manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties when needed
  • promote good public relations
