Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to work full-time hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • valid food handler's certification or willingness to obtain
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to perform duties including standing for long periods
  • willingness to undergo background checks and comply with health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules
  • prepare production packets including production sheets and recipes
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored safely and organized
  • maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • recommend equipment replacement as needed
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • oversee daily catering events and timely delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain effective communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties when necessary
  • promote good public relations
