Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service preferred
  • ability to lead and supervise a team
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • flexibility to work nights and weekends
  • completion of sanitation course if not done prior
  • physical ability to perform duties including standing for extended periods
  • basic computer skills for inventory and scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • ensure safe and organized food storage
  • maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
  • monitor accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare production orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checks
  • recommend equipment replacements
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage daily catering event preparations and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties when needed
  • promote good public relations
