Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior food service or supervisory experience preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability to work nights and weekends occasionally for catering
- must complete sanitation training
- effective communication skills
- ability to multitask
- commitment to food safety and quality
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- reliable and punctual
- basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
- knowledgeable in cost-effective program operations
- ability to perform basic arithmetic

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- direct daily kitchen activities
- maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
- ensure safe and organized food storage
- maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
- uphold sanitary department conditions following health codes
- maintain accurate weekly inventory
- prepare food orders as needed
- supervise and evaluate employees
- counsel and promote employee growth and teamwork
- maintain a safe working environment
- train and mentor food service workers
- maintain maintenance logs for equipment
- complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- perform preventative maintenance checklists
- recommend equipment replacement
- multitask effectively
- perform duties directed by Food Service Director or Manager
- fill in for absent employees
- manage daily catering event preparation and delivery
- work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
- attend staff food service meetings
- maintain communication with staff
- perform cashier duties when necessary
- promote public relations
