Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or supervisory roles preferred
  • Must complete sanitation course before or during first year
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • Knowledge in operating an efficient and cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
  • Ensure safe and organized food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules ensuring food items meet menu specifications and safety standards
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain logs of equipment maintenance
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Multi-task effectively
  • Perform other duties requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Manage daily catering events ensuring timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings with staff
  • Maintain communication with staff through various channels
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
