Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to supervise and lead teams
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting and standing for long periods
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Completion of sanitation course either before or during first year
- Knowledgeable in operating efficient cost-effective food programs
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production to ensure safety and quality
- Ensure safe and organized storage of food items
- Maintain serving schedules and ensure proper food service
- Maintain a sanitary department following health codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders as needed for production
- Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
- Maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain maintenance logs for equipment
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance checklist
- Recommend equipment replacements
- Multitask efficiently
- Perform other duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees as necessary
- Manage catering event preparation and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings
- Maintain communications with staff
- Perform cashier duties as required
- Promote good public relations
