Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to supervise and lead teams
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting and standing for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Completion of sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating efficient cost-effective food programs
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production to ensure safety and quality
  • Ensure safe and organized storage of food items
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure proper food service
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed for production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
  • Maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain maintenance logs for equipment
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacements
  • Multitask efficiently
  • Perform other duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Manage catering event preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communications with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as required
  • Promote good public relations
