Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to handle stress and resolve interpersonal conflicts
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Completion of a sanitation course or willingness to complete within first year
  • Knowledge of operating an efficient cost-effective food service program
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production quality and safety according to policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food items meet menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitation in compliance with health and safety codes
  • Keep accurate weekly inventory records
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
  • Maintain safe working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Keep maintenance logs for equipment
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Multi-task efficiently
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Manage daily catering events and ensure timely delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
