Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service preferred
  • completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • physical ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete sanitation course either before or during first year
  • knowledge of operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production safety and quality
  • ensure safe and organized food storage
  • maintain serving schedules according to menu specifications
  • keep a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • promote employee growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain maintenance logs on equipment
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend replacement of equipment
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties assigned by food service director or manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • coordinate daily catering events ensuring timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
