Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Commitment to food safety and quality standards
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Completion of a sanitation course before or during the first year
- Knowledgeable in operating efficient cost-effective food programs
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and preparation of production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality standards
- Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
- Maintain serving schedules adhering to menu specifications and policies
- Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
- Supervise and evaluate employees encouraging growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain maintenance logs of equipment
- Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- Perform preventative maintenance checklists
- Recommend equipment replacement as necessary
- Fill in for absent employees as needed
- Manage daily catering event preparations and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catering events
- Attend food service staff meetings
- Maintain communication with staff including office and administrative correspondence
- Perform cashier duties when required
- Promote good public relations
