Job Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience required
  • ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work outside in inclement weather
  • possession or ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 6 months
  • possession or ability to obtain valid bartender license within 6 months
  • flexible work schedule including days, nights, and weekends
  • strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience
  • supervisory or lead role experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food preparation methods, techniques, and equipment
  • ServSafe certification
  • valid bartender license
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong customer service skills
  • high school diploma preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee quality food preparation, presentation, and customer service
  • guide and direct food service staff
  • oversee training and development of part-time staff
  • enforce state and local drinking laws and university policies
  • clean, inspect, and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
  • adhere to food safety regulations and policies
  • assign and coordinate day-to-day activities of food service staff
  • develop and schedule logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
  • lead and provide exceptional customer service
  • perform routine and non-routine food preparation activities
