Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years healthcare or hospitality food service experience
  • Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State within 180 days
  • Food Protection Manager Certification - VA State within 180 days

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years healthcare or hospitality food service experience
  • Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State within 180 days
  • Food Protection Manager Certification - VA State within 180 days
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certified Food Protection Manager (CDM CFPP) preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficiency in kitchen and retail operations by managing team accountability, prioritize workload and prepare food timely, monitor patient/resident census and retail volume, coordinate production volumes with culinary team and management, maintain accurate accounting functions including reports and cashier operations, demonstrate consistent positive customer service behaviors, ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal policies, promote and maintain a safe work environment, develop and educate staff on policies and best practices, engage in onboarding and employee retention initiatives, assist in maintaining food cost and inventory accuracy, monitor and report food and supply usage, utilize technology for efficiency such as Food & Nutrition software and patient health systems, assist with patient/resident diet office procedures, demonstrate teamwork and provide staff coverage when needed
