Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress

  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production safety and quality according to policies and requirements
  • Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food items are served as per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • Prepare orders as needed
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promote teamwork and morale
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Multitask proficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Monitor daily catering events and ensure timely delivery
  • Work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
