Job Requirements

  • graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
  • two years of experience in food production or service for a large scale food service operation
  • willingness to be subject to call-in and provide a reachable telephone number
  • ability to substitute additional experience for required education on a year-for-year basis for up to four years
  • ability to substitute additional education in food service management, nutritional care, institutional administration or related area for required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to two years
  • ability to substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in related food service roles for required experience on a year-for-year basis

Job Qualifications

  • graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
  • two years of experience in food production or service for a large scale food service operation
  • experience working with reports regarding food service operation
  • experience with food service policies, procedures and guidelines
  • experience inspecting food service facilities, equipment, and operations to evaluate compliance with the standards of sanitation, quality and efficiency

Job Duties

  • supervise food service workers in a large food service operation and satellite dining areas
  • ensure adherence to regulatory food safety and sanitation requirements
  • oversee central kitchen operations
  • manage food production and tray line processes
  • coordinate patient food services
  • inspect food service facilities, equipment, and operations to maintain standards
  • enforce departmental policies and procedures
