Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or related supervisory role preferred
  • must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • capable of basic arithmetic
  • ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • ability to supervise and train staff
  • valid work authorization as required
  • physical ability to perform tasks associated with food service supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • maintain serving schedules following menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary standards complying with health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, promote growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform duties requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage daily catering event preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain staff communication
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
