Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to work full time including occasional nights and weekends
  • basic computer skills
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • must be able to pass background check

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • knowledgeable in operating cost-effective programs
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules following menu specifications and company policies
  • maintain sanitary conditions in the department adhering to health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees including counseling and promoting growth
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • recommend equipment replacements
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • oversee daily catering events
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
