Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment
  • Willingness to complete sanitation certification course

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective food service program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • Maintain all serving schedules and serve food according to menu specifications
  • Keep the department sanitary following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, including counseling and promoting growth
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain maintenance logs for department equipment
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • Recommend replacement equipment
  • Multi-task effectively
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Coordinate daily catering events for timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff including office staff
  • Perform cashier duties when required
  • Promote good public relations
