Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food service experience preferred
  • ability to work full time
  • must complete or have completed a sanitation course
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • physical capability to stand and move for long periods
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • proficiency with basic math

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules according to menu specifications
  • uphold a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain logs on equipment maintenance
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage daily catering events
  • work occasional night and weekend events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
