Job Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience required
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather
  • ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain within six months
  • Valid bartender license required or ability to obtain within six months
  • Willingness to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends
  • High school diploma preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience
  • Previous restaurant experience in supervisory or lead role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation methods, techniques, and equipment preferred
  • High school diploma preferred
  • ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain within six months
  • Valid bartender license required or ability to obtain within six months

Job Duties

  • Oversee quality food preparation and presentation
  • Guide and direct staff
  • Oversee training and development of part-time staff
  • Perform routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
  • Enforce state and local drinking laws and university policies
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Adhere to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assign and coordinate day-to-day activities of food service staff
  • Develop and schedule logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and information regarding food preparation and catering
