Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to work full-time including nights and weekends
  • understanding of food safety regulations
  • basic math skills
  • good communication skills
  • capability to train and mentor staff
  • proficiency in multitasking and organizing
  • physical ability to perform job tasks required

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or within first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production safety and quality according to policies
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
  • maintain sanitary department and comply with health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on equipment maintenance
  • ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask efficiently
  • perform other duties as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage catering event preparations and timely delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
