Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or a supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to work full-time with flexibility for occasional nights and weekends
  • Completion of or willingness to complete sanitation training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Competence in basic math
  • Capability to operate kitchen and food service equipment safely
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules ensuring food served per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise, evaluate, and counsel employees
  • Promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend replacement of equipment
  • Multi-task proficiently
  • Perform duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Oversee daily catering events
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
