Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of food service or related experience preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Serv-Safe certification required
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, and carry items
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Capability to interact positively with residents, families, and team members

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary arts degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required or to be obtained
  • Serv-Safe certification required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of cooking and food preparation techniques

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare meals according to dietician guidance and special dietary needs
  • Acquire and manage food service supplies and equipment
  • Supervise, delegate, and schedule food service staff
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Manage food service budgets and inventory
  • Participate in management team activities including staff meetings and community events
  • Ensure sanitary and safe kitchen and dining environments
