Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and organized
  • Maintain serving schedules ensuring food is served per menu specifications safely
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend replacement of equipment as needed
  • Multitask proficiently
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Manage daily catering events, including preparation and timely delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties when necessary
  • Promote good public relations
