Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • bachelor’s degree nutrition, home economics, food service management, or hospitality preferred
  • food handling certificate recognized by Cabell County Health Department on employment and updates as required by county mandate or Serv Safe certification required
  • Serv Safe certification must be obtained within one year of employment and certification kept current
  • minimum two years of management experience required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • supervise and coordinate food service production and patient care staff
  • act as department head in absence of director and assistant director executive chef
  • assist in coordinating activities with other hospital departments
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
  • train and mentor food service staff
  • manage daily operational tasks within the food service department
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality
