Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
- Certificate, or Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree or higher in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
- ServSafe certification, Food Handler, or Manager certification
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
- 3+ years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
- Experience working in a large volume operation such as catering, university or similar with gross sales in excess of 1 million
- Basic food prep experience
- Experience with staff training and employee scheduling
- Two or more years experience with mentoring, counseling, and disciplining staff
- Experience using POS to process payments
- Knowledge of essential food service equipment
- Certificate, or Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree or higher in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
- ServSafe certification, Food Handler, or Manager certification
Job Duties
- Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
- Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
- Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
- Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
- Develops and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
