Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
  • Certificate, or Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree or higher in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • ServSafe certification, Food Handler, or Manager certification
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
  • 3+ years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
  • Experience working in a large volume operation such as catering, university or similar with gross sales in excess of 1 million
  • Basic food prep experience
  • Experience with staff training and employee scheduling
  • Two or more years experience with mentoring, counseling, and disciplining staff
  • Experience using POS to process payments
  • Knowledge of essential food service equipment
  • Certificate, or Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree or higher in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • ServSafe certification, Food Handler, or Manager certification

Job Duties

  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
  • Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
  • Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
  • Develops and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
