Job Qualifications

- Prior experience in institutional food service or restaurant preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to train and manage diverse teams
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Dependable with strong work ethic
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare and instruct others in the preparation of food according to menus and recipes
- Ensure proper and sanitary storage of all food items
- Serve food during scheduled meal times in accordance with policy
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and prepare food
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations on sanitation and handling
- Train other food service workers and maintain a clean work environment
- Follow uniform and facility policies
- Manage garbage removal and keep kitchen floors clean
- Promote a healthy, safe work environment
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Execute additional related duties as assigned
