Job Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in culinary arts or related field is a plus
  • Food Handler's certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide hands-on supervision and oversight for the preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals following company recipes based on daily needs and contractual obligations
  • Ensure all meals meet standards for quality
  • Supervise multiple employees in the kitchen environment
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Coordinate with management to adjust meal production based on inmate population needs
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies
  • Foster a positive and efficient working environment
