Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to follow federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service operations

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food service environment
  • Experience with staff training and employee scheduling
  • Knowledge of essential food service equipment
  • Experience using POS to process payments
  • Mentoring, counseling, and disciplining staff experience
  • Certificate, Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree or higher in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • ServSafe certification, Food Handler, or Manager certification

Job Duties

  • Leads and provides exceptional customer service including answering questions and providing information regarding food preparation and catering
  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Develops and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
  • Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
  • Assigns and coordinates the day-to-day activities of food service staff
  • Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
