Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand and be on feet for extended shifts
- Willingness to work full-time hours
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards

- Knowledge of food handling regulations
- Ability to supervise and train others

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in cooking quality foods according to menus and recipes
- Ensure all food is stored properly and sanitized
- Serve food during scheduled meal times following department policies
- Use kitchen utensils and equipment safely and appropriately to prepare and serve food
- Follow all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, handling, and storage
- Train other food service workers to maintain standards
- Maintain a clean work environment including kitchen cleaning, garbage collection, and equipment sanitation
- Enforce facility uniform and safety policies
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
