Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Meets all legally mandated health requirements
  • Good moral character as evidenced by absence of criminal or unethical convictions
  • Ability to provide efficient food production skills and sanitation procedures compliant with health board
  • Meets all prerequisite qualifications to be bonded
  • Ability to operate Point of Sale system
  • Ability to drive food van and perform deliveries if hired after June 20, 2016
  • Ability to follow OSHA and HACCP standards
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and standing
  • Availability to work varying hours based on staff absence

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Good moral character without criminal or unethical convictions
  • Ability to provide efficient food production skills and approved sanitation procedures
  • Working knowledge of Federal Meal Program and reimbursable meals
  • Understanding of Offer vs Serve method in Food Based Menu Plan
  • Ability to operate food service equipment
  • Positive attitude and ability to develop rapport with children and staff

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves meals
  • Maintains a sanitary and orderly kitchen
  • Provides assistance for food service operations in the school district
  • Performs work in cooperation with all food services employees to maintain efficiency and sanitation
  • Operates Point of Sale computer terminal for food and beverage sales
  • Assists with special district events such as banquets
  • Drives food van and performs deliveries as directed
