The Food Sanitation Specialist position is a vital role based at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, supporting the food service operations of a military installation. Job Requirements

  • Must have strong customer service experience with food service and willingness to learn the Marine Corps contract
  • Ability to provide cleaning services within a food service environment
  • Must have solid work ethics
  • Must pass a background check to work on a military installation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 6 to 7 hours during shifts excluding break and lunch periods
  • Ability to bend and stoop as required

Job Duties

  • Clean all table tops and ensure that all counters and window sills are free from dust
  • Ensure that all dining facility floors are swept and mopped on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all napkin dispensers salt and pepper shakers and condiments dispensers are full before and after each meal
  • Serve food to the military personnel
  • Load and unload dirty dishes to the scullery machine pot shack
  • Remove all dishes from the collection station and wash according to HACCP standards Wash all pots and pans and utensils in accordance to the HACCP standards
  • Ensure that all kitchen floors are swept and mopped on a daily basis Bi-weekly floor waxing is also required
  • Clean other kitchen equipment on a daily basis or as needed
