Job Requirements
- none required (Level I)
- one year of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience
- two years of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience (Level III)
- three years of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience (Level IV)
- possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver's License may be required
- ability to work full time
- compliance with safety-sensitive requirements as defined by state law
Job Qualifications

- menu planning and recipe interpretation (Level IV)
- communication skills, both oral and written
- ability to organize and supervise the work of others (Level IV)
Job Duties
- prepares foods, salads, and desserts
- cooks or bakes a variety of items
- supplies unit with meat, fish or fowl as ordered
- cuts and prepares meat, poultry or fish
- cleans and prepares foods using tools and equipment
- operates dishwasher
- cleans kitchen, dining and storage areas
- labels, loads and delivers food carts or trays
- defrosts and cleans refrigerators and related equipment
- operates state-owned vehicles when required
- directs food service personnel (Level II and above)
- inspects kitchen and dining areas for sanitation (Level III and IV)
- manages food stock and supplies (Level III and IV)
- conducts nutritional assessments and dietary charting (Level III)
- interprets menus and menu instructions (Level IV)
- organizes and supervises food service work (Level IV)
