Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Minimum three years experience in food service
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to handle large quantity food preparation
  • Capability to meet physical job demands
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to pass background checks

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Three years experience in food service
  • Knowledge of institutional food service operations
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Experience in menu planning and nutritional principles
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • Competency in record keeping and report preparation
  • Physical ability to perform job duties
  • Ability to maintain effective work relationships

Job Duties

  • Plan organize and coordinate the preparation of food in large quantities
  • Assist Director of Food Services in menu planning
  • Cook and bake a variety of foods
  • Ensure safe storage cooking serving and distribution of food
  • Assign direct and monitor work of others
  • Assist staff in preparing serving packaging and cleaning
  • Requisition account and inventory food items and supplies
  • Maintain safe and sanitary work areas and monitor health and safety
  • Prepare and submit reports on supplies and production
  • Count and record funds prepare bank deposits
  • Maintain records and logs and complete reports
  • Perform cashiering duties including handling money and meal tickets
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Perform related duties as required
