Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of food service experience
  • Experience in a school or institutional kitchen preferred
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work full time during school day hours

Job Duties

  • Lead the daily operations of a busy school cafeteria
  • Plan and coordinate the preparation and service of meals
  • Cook and prepare a variety of foods in large quantities
  • Supervise and support cafeteria staff
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards are met
  • Manage inventory and food orders
  • Maintain meal counts, production records, and required reports
  • Oversee cashiering and daily deposit procedures
  • Keep the kitchen running safely, efficiently, and smoothly
