Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food service, hospitality, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
  • ability to follow directions, work in a team, and interact positively with participants and staff
  • strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety, cleanliness, and food handling

Job Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation and food service according to program guidelines and dietary restrictions
  • support participants during meal times, promoting independence and social engagement
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining area, and food service equipment
  • follow health, safety, and sanitation standards in all food handling processes
  • collaborate with the Food Service Manager and program staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • observe and report any participant needs, behaviors, or incidents to supervisors promptly
  • assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving food and supplies as needed
  • support special events or programs related to food service, including preparation and clean-up
