Job Requirements

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent
  • four years of work-related experience preferred
  • ability to use culinary tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to read and follow recipes written in English
  • ability to add and subtract numbers
  • ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in retail cooking or restaurant environment preferred
  • ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to use culinary tools safely
  • basic math skills including addition and subtraction

Job Duties

  • Prepare specified items by following recipes and culinary standards set by the chef and retail manager
  • operate safely and effectively industrial kitchen equipment including knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
  • maintain departmental compliance with all state, county, and regulatory agency requirements
  • keep work areas clean and sanitary in accordance with food safety standards
  • perform all other duties as assigned
  • support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital
