Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledgeable of and ability to follow food preparation and safety instructions
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
- Ability to operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Ability to read, write, and speak in the language of English

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food according to planned menu recipes
- Serve food according to meal schedules and departmental policies
- Practice and promote portion control and use of leftovers
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Follow procedures to meet cleanliness, health, and safety standards
- Keep garbage areas neat and sanitary
- Correct and report unsafe conditions
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene
- Handle and record cashier functions accurately
- Rotate through multiple kitchen work functions
- Record food requisitions and orders supplies
- Maintain daily food preparation records
- Promote teamwork and interaction with staff
- Attend Food Service Workers Training for certification
- Supervise storage and handling of food items and supplies
- Maintain clean and organized storage area
- Possibly relocate to other campuses when needed
- Read and follow recipes
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Report to work on time daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
