Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field
  • Current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred
  • Minimum five years leadership experience in healthcare food service
  • Knowledge of HACCP and ServSafe Manager certification preferred
  • Experience managing complex food service operations
  • Ability to collaborate across departments
  • Skilled in budget and contract management
  • Familiarity with unionized work environments preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist preferred
  • Vermont State Certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years experience in food service management within a healthcare setting
  • ServSafe Manager certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in budget oversight and vendor management
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in healthcare food service

Job Duties

  • Direct the planning and coordination of food and nutrition services
  • Manage daily kitchen operations ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Oversee budget management and financial performance
  • Provide leadership and support to nutrition supervisors, chefs, and food service workers
  • Collaborate with clinical nutrition, patient services, and culinary medicine teams to update menus
  • Implement service innovations to improve patient satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and quality assurance programs
