Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • State/county food handler card
  • Three years of food service or nutrition experience
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights ranging from 1 to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with frequent interruptions
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with laws and policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • State/county food handler card
  • Three years of food service or nutrition experience
  • Preferred hospitality, business, nutrition, or related education
  • Preferred ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Preferred management, leadership, or supervisor experience

Job Duties

  • Provides daily oversight and support to frontline caregiver tasks throughout Food Service department
  • Follows up with caregivers daily to ensure all work is completed and signed off for quality documentation
  • Acts as person in charge in the absence of food services manager and supervisors
  • Cross-trained throughout the department to assist working stations as needed
  • Performs special assignments including food production, customer service, room service, catering, cafe, and event management
  • Communicates direction, guidance and assignments to other caregivers
  • Manages, organizes, and properly stores equipment and supplies
  • Collaborates with supervisor on staffing and assignments
  • Provides ongoing training and mentorship to ensure caregivers maintain competencies
  • Performs office procedures including records management, phones, reception, filing, and correspondence
  • Assists with scheduling and resolves scheduling issues
  • Supports organizational vision, mission, values, and Lean principles
  • Maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests
  • Conducts activities with professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance
  • Delivers timely, efficient, and accurate customer service and patient care
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
