Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in related field and two years of experience in food service management
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds
- Capacity to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to communicate effectively and move between work sites
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Willingness to work varying hours
- Ability to operate university vehicles
- Submission of at least two professional references
- Eligibility for Teacher Retirement System (TRS) benefits
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Two years of experience in food service management
- Thorough knowledge of food preparation and food service management in large food service units
- Skill in food preparation, service etiquette, and advanced food processing procedures
- Experience in training, supervising, and evaluating staff
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, employee health, and safety precautions
- Ability to maintain records and timekeeping
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Great work ethics
- Outgoing personality
- Eager to excel and grow in residential dining operations
Job Duties
- Oversees food quality and presentation consistently aligned with established standards and customer expectations in assigned area
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service quality and refine food offerings based on supervisory feedback
- Provide comprehensive training by equipping staff with the skills needed for exceptional service and food safety
- Create a collaborative and supportive team culture that encourages open communication and employee engagement
- Adhere to all University policies, health codes, and safety standards, regularly reviewing practices to ensure adherence
- Maintain operational integrity and safety in all kitchen and dining operations
- Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and standard operating procedures
