Job Requirements
- High school diploma or approved equivalent
- current Food Manager Certificate accepted by Texas Department of State Health Services
- prior K-12 school food service supervisory experience preferred
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand instructions in English
- computer literate
- ability to handle money efficiently and perform routine mathematical calculations
- ability to effectively communicate with administrators, teachers, and parents
- understanding of kitchen operations, equipment, and food safety regulations

Job Duties
- Supervises employees in food preparation, service, and storage operations
- trains all assigned staff to maintain a safe environment
- conducts annual department HACCP training
- conducts new hire orientation
- trains staff on new policies and procedures
- orders food and supplies per schedules
- receives, stores and handles food and supplies according to health standards
- prepares and reviews daily work schedules
- presents quality food attractively
- ensures food items meet menu specifications
- maintains accurate records and reports
- meets serving schedules
- implements food safety and sanitation programs
- applies safety rules to reduce accidents
- performs computer procedures accurately
- understands and executes all policies and procedures
- participates in campus activities to encourage involvement
- demonstrates financial responsibility and accuracy in cash deposits
- attends meetings and staff development
- manages conflict resolution among staff
- oversees kitchen clean-up and waste removal
- performs other duties as assigned
