Job Duties

  • Estimate food preparation amounts and adjust recipes if required
  • Evaluate prepared food for flavor, appearance, and temperature
  • Implement menu plans to meet students' dietary requirements
  • Inspect food and supply deliveries for quality and compliance
  • Inventory food, supplies, and equipment regularly
  • Maintain sanitary conditions of equipment, storage, and preparation areas
  • Manage site operations including supervising personnel and monitoring expenditures
  • Monitor food service operations for safety and nutritional compliance
  • Order food, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory
  • Orient and train new employees on site operations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, serving, and transportation
  • Participate in meetings, training, and workshops
  • Perform duties of other nutritional services positions as needed
  • Prepare documentation such as records and reports
  • Process receipts and reconcile transactions
  • Respond to inquiries regarding food service policies
  • Schedule work hours and assignments
  • Serve food items meeting nutritional requirements
  • Stock and secure food and supplies
  • Supervise food service workers to maximize workforce efficiency
