Job Duties

  • Direct and guide the overall student nutrition program at the school level
  • supervise, train and manage the campus food service operation on site
  • ensure appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served in a safe and courteous manner
  • maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • maintain high sanitation and safety standards
  • implement food safety and sanitation programs
  • receive, store and handle food and supplies according to standards
  • provide employee training on safety
  • assume responsibility for food service equipment care and use
  • operate program in compliance with energy conservation principles
  • establish and maintain quality control for food production and distribution
  • order food and supplies
  • prepare and maintain accurate food production and discard records
  • monitor food production procedures daily
  • prepare and review employee work schedules
  • meet serving schedules set by campus administrators
  • follow procurement processes within guidelines
  • ensure proper receiving and storage techniques
  • manage financial operations within guidelines
  • organize food service office and maintain records
  • perform accurate production and purchasing calculations
